Carly Rosemary is a self-taught hand poke tattooist, artist, and creative spirit.

Tattooing came into Carly’s life unexpectedly in 2016 while she was in college and quickly blossomed into a profound and lasting passion. Her practice is deeply rooted in sensitivity, ritual, and intention. Guided by the wisdom of her astrological blueprint—rich in water and air—and shaped by her path as a Usui Reiki Master, she brings a deeply intuitive and empathetic energy to her tattooing. For Carly, creating with her hands is a form of catharsis—a sacred way to connect, heal, and express. It’s a privilege she honors every day through her work at Rosemary Ink.

Why Rosemary Ink?

Carly’s middlename, Rosemary, was lovingly given to her by her parents to honor her grandmothers—Mary, Mary, and Rosa—blending their names and spirits into one. Rosemary, the herb, has long been celebrated as a symbol of protection, purification, healing, and ancestral connection—used to cleanse energy, honor lineage, and guard the spirit. These same qualities resonate deeply within the art of tattooing: releasing old energy, marking personal transformation, and grounding the wearer more fully in their truth and most authentic self.

Beyond tattooing, Carly is a professional wedding and portrait photographer—explore her photography work here. She is a SUNY Orange alumna with an Associate degree in Art and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from Arizona State University. Additionally, she is a Certified Microblade & Shade Artist through Beauty Angels Academy.
